Who Am I?
Hey! I'm Basten, 22, from the Netherlands. I started upcycling clothes about six months ago to express my creativity and contribute to a better environment. Reducing clothing waste is important to me, and reusing fabrics feels like a sustainable approach to fashion.

What do I do?
I buy damaged clothing, rework, upcycle, and transform it into new pieces. I then sell these items, hoping to raise awareness about upcycled clothing and promote consciousness about clothing waste.
For every item sold, 10% goes to Clothes to Good, an organisation that supports vulnerable women and children, especially families of children with disabilities, in South Africa.

Behind My Craft!
In this interview, I share the story behind my clothing repair and upcycling business. I talk about what inspired me to start, my passion for giving garments a second life, and how I aim to make fashion more sustainable by giving clothes a second life.
